In addition to the Community Summit, this year we tried something new – our first ever Advanced Training Session in Berlin, Germany. The session is a new format for Metro Publisher, one that we plan to bring to other markets such as the U.S.
The day was dedicated to explaining and showing the functions of several tools and integrations. The team shared expertise on Lightroom’s workflow and the great SEO benefits of Metro Publisher’s location roundups that have proved to be effective and popular with readers. Additional SEO knowledge shed light on where and how to best optimize sites in Metro Publisher.
Community publishers also got the low down on tagging and its purpose in Metro Publisher. Advantages and uses of tags were laid out, such as content organization through categories, topics, event and location searches, sprocket automation, and targeted advertising.
The Metro Publisher team further demonstrated layout strategies and techniques, focusing on consistency in image resolutions that’s key to making an overall professional impression.
Overall, the session was well received. All attendees got really involved, and gave great input and feedback that will be used in planning the next advanced training session. We look forward to announcing next dates and locations.
